Terms of Use

To help all guests enjoy a safe, comfortable, and pleasant stay, and to ensure the smooth operation of the campsite, the following rules apply. Please read them carefully before making a reservation. By completing your reservation, you are deemed to have agreed to these terms.

For All Guests

Staff on Site

Upon Arrival

After parking at your reserved site, please come to the administration building for check-in.

Check-in

2:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Check-out

Tent Sites → 11:00 AM
Bungalows / Cottages / Trailers → 10:00 AM

※ When checking out of a bungalow, cottage, or trailer, please return the key to the post box. This also applies when staff are absent and on Tuesdays.
※ Late check-out is available until 12:00 PM for ¥1,500.

Quiet Hours

10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

※ During quiet hours, please keep voices low and be mindful of noise from chopping wood, moving vehicles, and opening and closing doors.

Cars & Parking

  • Parking: One vehicle per site, parked within your reserved area
  • Speed limit inside the camp: 8 km/h
  • Vehicle movement inside the camp is generally permitted until 9:00 PM.

Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited at our facility.

  • Open fires and gasoline-powered equipment
  • Lightweight fire starters that easily blow in the wind (such as paper, cloth, or dry leaves)
  • Playing instruments, loud car stereos, idling, shouting, or other behavior that disturbs other guests
  • Aerial fireworks, fountain fireworks, firecrackers, and spinning fireworks. Handheld fireworks are allowed only until 9:00 PM in the designated area
  • Being nude or in underwear in public areas, or exposing tattoos
  • Entry by members of organized crime groups
  • Overnight stays by junior high or high school students without adults
  • Any act that violates public order, morality, or the law, or may do so
  • Any behavior that causes trouble for other guests or nearby residents
  • Sending luggage or camping equipment by courier when it cannot fit in your vehicle; such deliveries will be refused
  • Spraying insecticides, pesticides, or salt
  • Damaging trees or collecting plants, including pouring hot water near tree roots
  • Entering or cutting across another guest’s site
  • Leaning or sitting on wooden fences or ropes

Requests and Cooperation

Waste Disposal

Please separate your garbage and place it in the disposal baskets by the exit after check-out.

Charcoal & Ash Disposal

Please make sure charcoal and ashes are fully extinguished and dispose of them in the designated area.

Valuables & Keys

Guests are responsible for managing their valuables and keys. We cannot be responsible for theft or loss.

※ We cannot be held responsible for theft or loss.

※ If you lose your key, please notify staff immediately. A fee of ¥3,300 (tax included) will be charged.

Alcohol

Please avoid excessive drinking.

Noise at Night

Please be mindful of noise at night, including door opening and closing sounds.

Use of Facilities

Hot-water shower rooms

Please write your site number and name on the reservation sheet in the shower room before use.

※Time limit: 20 minutes per person / free of charge.

Table Tennis

Please make a reservation at the administration building.

※ 30-minute slots / free of charge.

Cottage Bedding

Please always use a sleeping bag liner.

※ Liners are not exchanged during consecutive-night stays.

Cottage Equipment

Home appliances, cooking utensils, tableware, and detergent in the cottages are available for guests to use freely.

Kids’ space

Please use it during its operating hours, and an adult must always accompany children.

Nature and Safety

  • To prevent problems with wild animals and insects, do not leave garbage or food out when you go to sleep.
  • Fishing for ayu, amago trout, or Japanese mitten crab in the Tomida River requires a fishing permit from the Tomidagawa Fisheries Cooperative.

For Tent Site Guests

  • Power capacity is limited to 2 kW. Please do not exceed it.
  • If there is thunder, please take shelter in your vehicle immediately.
  • Please secure tents and tarps firmly with pegs and ropes.

Disclaimer

  • Security cameras are installed on site, and footage may be provided to relevant authorities if necessary.
  • If damage or malfunction to on-site facilities causes disruption to camp operations, guests may be charged for restoration costs.
  • The facility is not responsible for theft, accidents, injuries, or damage caused by insects or wildlife.
  • Use of the kids’ play equipment, river, and stream areas is at your own risk.
  • Please take safety precautions such as wearing life jackets when playing in the river.

Special Notice: Nankai Trough Earthquake Advisory, etc.

Even if a Nankai Trough Earthquake Advisory or similar notice is issued, official guidance generally recommends remaining calm and continuing normal life. Therefore, if Sam’s Camp continues operating, the standard cancellation policy will still apply. However, if the Japan Meteorological Agency, the local authorities, or Sam’s Camp determines that safety concerns require closure due to a natural disaster or similar event, the accommodation fee paid in advance will be refunded. Travel costs and any related losses are not covered.

Any closure decision will be announced on the website by 12:00 PM on the day before arrival.

If guests do not follow these rules or ignore staff instructions, they may be asked to leave the premises. If the management judges the behavior to be particularly serious, the police may be contacted immediately.

Rules for Guests Staying with Dogs

To help all guests enjoy a comfortable stay, Sam’s Camp has established specific rules for dogs. Please read these together with the general terms above.

Before You Book

  • Please make sure to declare that you are bringing a dog when booking. This also applies to online reservations.
  • A separate dog fee applies. For details, please see here.
  • Pets other than dogs are not permitted.

Eligible Dogs

  • Your dog must be up to date on vaccinations (rabies and combination vaccines).
  • ※ Proof of vaccination is not required to be presented.
  • ※ We are unable to guarantee that all dogs on site have been vaccinated.
  • Your dog must be free from skin conditions, contagious diseases, or other illnesses.
  • Your dog must be free from significant flea or tick infestations.
  • Dogs of breeds that may cause fear in others (such as fighting breeds) will not be permitted.
  • Your dog must have basic training, including toilet training and control of excessive barking.

Dog Policy

  • Within the campsite, always use a leash no longer than 120 cm, and keep the dog within your site or roadside area.
  • Do not leave your dog unattended. If you must leave your dog alone indoors, please use a crate or cage.
  • Owners must promptly clean up after their dogs and rinse the area with water.
  • Please do not brush your dog inside the campsite.
  • Please do not use facility bedding for your dog. If a dog soils futons or cushions, a cleaning fee of ¥5,000 will be charged.
  • If a dog soils a mattress, a replacement fee of ¥10,000 will be charged.
  • Any trouble caused by a dog on the premises is entirely the owner’s responsibility. The facility accepts no liability.
